BFF Reunion! Lily is in Town!

Lily is here!

Little helpers at the airport

Well things are pumped up here for Eila- she has welcomed her dearest Lang son sister Lily to DC! Lily May and her parents Sandra and Bobby arrived at National Airport on Thursday and Eila yelled as the plane was pulling up to the gate- Yi Yi , Yi Yi (for Lily, of course!). They are precious together, two peas in a pod, making the same sounds, dancing, squealing, and holding hands. We went to the World Child office to visit Sherrell today to commemorate the reunion- we'll make 1 year since the adoption in just 2 weeks. We wore ourselves out today with a trip down to the Smithsonian area to see the Vietnam War Memorial and the Lincoln Memorial. We came home happy but pooped. Gotta go get some rest before we start again tomorrow- there is a lot of fun to be had out there with these two girls! We cannot believe it has almost been a year since we have all been together!

Playing some tunes

Here are a few at home shots doing the typical daily stuff- we just thought we do a few normal everyday pics. Eila is getting ready for a goodbye tomorrow to her Ba and Dada and I'm sure she will feel like the house is empty now with just Mom during the daytime. She will be very excited to welcome Lily in just a few short days!!!

Gaga for gardens!

The goose walk

Meditative squat

We took a couple of trips over to the Brookside Gardens and chased the geese, smelled the flowers, watched the butterflies and enjoyed the cool-ish weather that we have had for the last couple of days! It's refreshing to have a nice summer walk through the gardens with a nice breeze at this time of the year. Eila now knows a goose is not a duck- or at least I think she knows. She laughs when they 'honk'.

Hamming it up!

How much fun can a curtain be?

A lot, evidently!

The kiddos had some good times together and truly enjoyed visiting with each other! Eila and Elise love to be together and constantly wanted to hold hands- it was absolutely adorable to watch. Kids are sweet!

Eila's cousins from California are here for a visit this week and the kids are living it up! We took a little getaway trip for the weekend to attend the 25th wedding anniversary of an auntie and uncle and went to a big Indian soiree to celebrate. Everyone got dressed up and Eila and her cousin Elise (4 years old) had a wonderful time being silly together while Kiran (2 years) ran around being a typical busy boy! We went to the zoo today and braved the treacherous heat and still enjoyed every minute of it- pandas, pygmy hippos, elephants, apes, and meerkats. I'm sure Eila will be sad to see the cousins go home mid-week, although she will soon welcome her buddy from Lang son Lily (Yi Yi to Eila)!
