We just had a long awaited summer vacation in Montana at the family cabin in Big Fork and very near the beautiful Glacier National Park. It has passed with lightening speed, but with lots of great moments and many gatherings with friends and family. We arrived to our neighbors and family cousins and aunts/uncles Keya, Cimi, Michael and Bindi and grandparents. We had many of our closest friends join us for visits this year- Rasha and Malaika from California, Brooks from Texas (soon to be Virginia), and Bob and Erika from Seattle. We did a lot of hiking, catching up, fishing, huckleberry picking and eating. It has been fantastic. Eila has been loving every minute of it and enjoying all of the excitement. We are headed back to Maryland tomorrow. Its always hard to depart from the mountains in the summertime.

Our Adoption Day Anniversary- 3 Years!

Today we had a fantastic celebration of our 3rd adoption day anniversary in Montana with grandparents and our very dear friends Bob and Erika. As Eila requested, we had a pancake breakfast (with huckleberries that Eila picked herself), played with her new toys, went on a small hike, had jasmine tea and a second breakfast at a cute little cafe in Big Fork, napped, had fresh caught white fish and perch and carrot cake for dinner, and played a lot. What a wonderful place to be to celebrate being a family! Eila says, "lets all have a group hug!"
